About us

We're Camping, a small-but-mighty video agency based in Barcelona, helping B2B tech companies transform from 'boring' to heartfelt and build a brand that matters.

We write for an industry that mostly takes itself too seriously and we have fun proving it doesn't have to. We're looking for a Copywriter to help us keep the work sharp, the voice distinctive, and the humour intact (we're also open to a freelance arrangement if that suits you better - more on this below).

About the job

We're looking for a Copywriter who can make B2B SaaS audiences laugh, think, and click - in that order. You'll lead audiovisual content from creative development to final delivery, working closely with our Head of Creative and Head of Strategy. Your day-to-day will be writing video scripts, ad copy, headlines, landing pages, and social, plus the occasional absurd concept that somehow survives the client review.

The single most important thing you'll bring is a distinctive voice. We hire writers because of how they see the world, not because they tick a list of clients.

This role can be full-time staff (Barcelona-based) or freelance/contractor with regular Barcelona presence. Tell us your preference in the application.

Core responsibilities

  • Creative development - research, ideate, and write scripts for video content with a strong focus on humour, originality, brand alignment and engagement.

  • Consistent messaging - ability to follow brand guidelines for tone, voice and messaging to the letter while innovating and refreshing a vision to cut through the noise.

  • Client collaboration - work closely with clients to understand their goals, tone, and audience, ensuring content aligns with their vision while pushing creative boundaries.

  • Innovative storytelling - transform technical or dry B2B SaaS topics into visually compelling and genuinely entertaining stories.

  • Multi-platform content creation - develop scripts and concepts for a variety of formats, including social media assets, organic content, and traditional advertising campaigns.

  • Research & insights - stay up-to-date with industry trends, and creative styles to ensure content feels fresh and relevant.

What we're looking for

Required Skills & Experience

  • A very dry, slightly British sense of humour - you understand absurdism, deadpan, restraint, and the difference between funny and trying-to-be-funny. This is the #1 filter for us.

  • Proven experience writing scripts for video content, with a strong portfolio showcasing innovative and fresh, funny projects.

  • Native-level fluency in English, with a strong command of word play, humour, and clear cross-cultural communication. Some Spanish would be a bonus.

  • Ability to transform complex or technical topics into simple, engaging, and entertaining narratives.

  • Strong understanding of tone, brand voice, and storytelling for B2B SaaS or similar industries (though if you've never written for tech but know you have what it takes, send a sample anyway!).

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly to clients and teams.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The Perfect Fit Will Also Have

  • Understanding of marketing strategies and audience engagement techniques.

  • Experience creating content for social media platforms, including knowledge of best practices for video formats and styles.

  • Familiarity with video production workflows, including editing, motion graphics, and sound design.

  • A background in comedy writing or scriptwriting.

Working model

  • Since January 2025, our full-time team works 4 days a week with Fridays off

  • Most of us work hybrid-remotely and gather at our Barcelona office 1-2 days a week to collaborate and connect

  • For this role, you may need to be present more often especially during the initial training period

  • Working hours are flexible – we trust you to manage your schedule around project needs and team commitments

Location

This position is based in Barcelona, Spain. We won't be taking candidates who can't be physically based in Barcelona for the staff role. You must have the right to work in Spain - we don't sponsor visas. If you're applying for the freelance option, regular Barcelona presence is still expected for shoots and team weeks (we'll cover travel from anywhere in Europe).
