As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Freelance Brand Strategist / Copywriter to lead strategic brand development and provide ongoing messaging expertise for our key SaaS clients.

The Opportunity

We're seeking a strategic thinker and skilled copywriter to lead brand positioning and messaging development for our key B2B SaaS client. This is a brand strategy role first, with copywriting as your primary craft—working in partnership with a creative team that includes video production specialists.

Your core responsibilities:

• Lead brand positioning strategy, messaging frameworks, and strategic narrative development for a fast-moving SaaS company

• Craft compelling, strategic B2B copy across all brand touchpoints: websites, campaigns, product messaging, and thought leadership content

• Serve as the strategic voice of the brand, ensuring messaging consistency and strategic alignment across all communications

• Guide and advise client stakeholders as a strategic partner, presenting strategic recommendations with confidence

• Collaborate with our creative team (including video specialists) to ensure brand strategy informs all creative outputs

What We're Looking For

Brand Strategy Expertise (Primary):

• 5+ years of brand strategy experience with proven expertise in positioning and messaging frameworks for B2B SaaS companies

• Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive strategic narratives and compelling brand stories that differentiate tech brands

• Experience creating and implementing brand messaging guidelines and strategic brand architecture

• Strategic thinking skills with ability to translate business objectives into brand positioning

Copywriting Excellence (Secondary):

• Outstanding B2B copywriting skills across multiple channels: websites, campaigns, product messaging, thought leadership, and sales enablement

• Portfolio showcasing strategic copy that drives business results for SaaS/tech clients

• Ability to adapt tone and messaging for different audiences while maintaining brand consistency

Client Partnership & Collaboration:

• Strong client-facing experience with ability to present strategic recommendations and guide stakeholders

• Comfortable working with creative teams (including video production) to ensure brand strategy informs all outputs

• Proven track record of building trusted advisor relationships with B2B clients

• Deep understanding of brand positioning, differentiation, and strategic messaging frameworks

• Ability to translate complex business objectives and technical features into compelling brand narratives

• Experience conducting competitive analysis and identifying unique brand positioning opportunities

Copywriting Craft:

• Exceptional writing skills with proven ability to craft persuasive B2B copy across formats

• Strong command of brand voice development and tone adaptation

• Experience writing for various B2B audiences: C-suite, practitioners, and technical buyers

• Eye for detail and commitment to delivering polished, on-brand content

Professional Attributes:

• Strategic advisor mindset with confidence presenting to senior stakeholders

• Collaborative approach to working with creative teams (video, design, content)

• Self-directed with strong project management skills for freelance environment
