The role
We're seeking an exceptional Account Manager who is a master of client relationships and a champion of strategic growth. This role is a 6-month full-time involvement, with the possibility to stay longer.
You'll be the strategic bridge between our clients and creative team, responsible for nurturing long-term partnerships with a new, incredibly exciting client — a globally recognized leader in the workflow automation space. This is a client whose innovative open-source platform is widely used by developers, IT professionals, and businesses worldwide to connect apps, automate tasks, and streamline complex processes. Your expertise will be in managing the complete client relationship lifecycle, from initial onboarding through ongoing account growth, ensuring exceptional service delivery while identifying opportunities for expansion. Your strategic mindset, relationship-building skills, and passion for client success are non-negotiable.
This is a full-time position.
Core responsibilities
Client Relationship Management:
• Build and Maintain Strategic Client Partnerships: Develop and nurture deep, long-term client relationships, serving as their trusted strategic advisor and primary point of contact for all account matters.
• Account Strategy Development: Create comprehensive account plans that align client business objectives with agency capabilities, identifying opportunities for growth and service expansion.
• Client Business Intelligence: Deep dive into client's business model, industry challenges, competitive landscape, and growth objectives to provide strategic recommendations and solutions.
• Stakeholder Management: Navigate complex client organizations, building relationships with multiple stakeholders and decision-makers to ensure account stability and growth.
• Client Satisfaction & Retention: Proactively monitor account health, conduct regular satisfaction assessments, and implement retention strategies to ensure long-term partnership success.
Account Growth & Business Development
• Revenue Growth: Drive account expansion through identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities, developing proposals for additional services that align with client needs.
• Strategic Account Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive account growth strategies, including quarterly business reviews and annual strategic planning sessions.
• Contract Management: Lead contract negotiations, renewals, and scope expansions while maintaining healthy profit margins and client satisfaction.
• Market Intelligence: Stay informed about client industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities to position agency services strategically.
Project Oversight & Service Delivery
• Account Project Coordination: Oversee all projects within the account to ensure consistent quality, timeline adherence, and budget management across multiple workstreams.
• Team Leadership: Coordinate with internal creative teams (Creative Director, Producer, Designer, Post-production Coordinator) to ensure optimal resource allocation and project delivery.
• Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of creative output and service delivery, ensuring all work meets client expectations and agency quality benchmarks.
• Budget Management: Monitor account profitability, track project budgets, and optimize resource allocation to maximize account value.
Communication & Reporting
• Strategic Communication: Facilitate high-level strategic discussions with client leadership, presenting insights, recommendations, and performance updates.
• Account Reporting: Provide regular account performance reports, including KPIs, ROI analysis, campaign results, and strategic recommendations for optimization.
• Internal Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to share client insights, optimize service delivery, and ensure consistent account management across all touchpoints.
What We're Looking For
Required Experience & Skills
• 4-5+ years of proven experience in account management within creative agencies, video production companies, or marketing services organizations, with demonstrated success in client relationship management and account growth.
• Strategic Account Management: Strong track record of managing key client accounts, developing account strategies, and driving revenue growth through upselling and cross-selling initiatives.
• Relationship Building Excellence: Exceptional interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term strategic client partnerships, managing complex stakeholder relationships across different organizational levels.
• Commercial Acumen: Strong business development mindset with experience in contract negotiations, proposal development, and identifying growth opportunities that benefit both clients and agency.
• Communication Mastery: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present strategic recommendations, facilitate high-level client meetings, and create compelling proposals and reports.
• Creative Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of creative workflows, video production processes, agency operations, and the ability to translate creative concepts into business value for clients.
• Analytical Skills: Proficiency in account performance analysis, ROI measurement, budget management, and translating data insights into strategic recommendations.
• CRM & Technology Proficiency: Advanced skills with CRM systems, project management platforms, analytics tools, and digital communication platforms essential for modern account management.
• High level of fluency in English, both written and spoken. Please refrain from applying if you do not possess this proficiency, as it is a mandatory requirement for our international clientele.
The Perfect Fit Will Also Have
• Senior Account Management Experience: Previous experience managing strategic accounts at creative agencies or marketing services companies, particularly with B2B tech clients or SaaS companies.
• Account Growth Success: Demonstrated history of growing existing accounts, with specific examples of successful upselling initiatives and long-term client retention.
• Remote Client Management: Proven ability to manage client relationships across different time zones, working effectively with distributed teams and maintaining strong relationships despite geographical distance.
• Tech Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the technology sector, B2B marketing landscape, workflow automation tools, and emerging trends in the developer and IT professional market.
• Performance Marketing Understanding: Experience with performance tracking, campaign analytics, and ability to demonstrate ROI and business impact to clients.
• Open-Source Community Familiarity: Prior experience working with open-source communities, developer-focused products, or technical audiences.
• Strategic Planning Skills: Experience in developing comprehensive account plans, conducting quarterly business reviews, and creating long-term account growth strategies.

Location
This position is based in Barcelona, Spain. We won't be taking candidates that aren't able to live in Barcelona. For all non-contract positions, you must have the right to work in Spain.
Working model
We're trialing a 4-day workweek with Fridays off. For our team, Taking Friday off is a bonus, and it's conditional to our workload being effectively managed and our commitments being properly attended.
Flexible working hours are a given, as we trust you to manage your schedule effectively.
We work in a hybrid model, with at least two days per week at our office in the Poblenou area.

What we offer
Immediate incorporation
Gross yearly salary of 36.000€-44.000€ (depending on experience).
4-day workweek with Fridays off (on trial), flexible working hours, and a hybrid model with at least two days per week in our office in the Poblenou area.
